Frequently asked question #1: MalvaAlcea is that your real name?
No it's not. That's the Latin name of a certain flower. Search for Malva Alcea on google and you'll understand.
Frequently asked question #2: What's the name of your little characters?
I have taken to calling the male character Little Dude and the female character is called Little Lady.
Edit: Yes, I am aware of the fact that these names are not exactly what you'd call groundbreaking...
Frequently asked question #3: What tools do you use to draw your pictures? Do you use an editing program to make their heads round?
Black ballpoint pen, that's all. No pencil, no gel pens, no editing program, no magic involved. Everyone can do it, this isn't rocket science you know. I hold my breath while I draw their heads, maybe that helps
Frequently asked question #4: How long does it take you?
That's hard to say as I tend to lose track of time when I'm drawing. But I guess it takes about 4 or 5 hours to finish a drawing.
Frequently asked question #5: How do you think of the quotes you use in your drawings?
That varies. Mostly I make them up myself, sometimes they are based on something I once read or something someone once told me. And sometimes they're actual quotes from famous people (in that case I mention that person in the artist's comments of the picture).
Edit: It is hard to think of so many different quotes though which is one of the reasons why I haven't submitted any new pictures lately.
Frequently asked question #6: Do you draw a new frame for each picture or do you just copy and paste the same frame every time?
I draw a new frame for each drawing and no, it does not get boring or annoying.
Edit: I'd be lying if I said it still didn't get boring to draw the same frame over and over and over.
Frequently asked question #7: Can you read my mind? Cause the feelings described in your pictures always seem to match my feelings.
Sadly I do not have the ability to read minds but believe me I'd be happy if I did. I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things, too, so we're really not that different.
Frequently asked question #8: So... are you in love?
I am. And it's the greatest thing that could happen. I tell you, let yourself fall in love if you haven't done so already. You are wasting your life.
Frequently asked question #9: May I use one/some of you drawings for a school project/collage/whatever?
No, generally you may not. But in special cases I am willing to make an exception. If you think yours is one of said special cases, send me a note and we'll work it out.
Frequently asked question #10: May I post one/some of your drawings on my website/my myspace page?
Sorry, no.
Frequently asked question #11: May I print out one/some of your drawings for my girlfriend/boyfriend/mother/someone else?
See Frequently asked question #9
Frequently asked question #12: May I colour one of your drawings and upload it in my gallery?
No. My drawings are not for stock use. If I wanted them to be colourful, I'd colour them myself.
Frequently asked question #13: Where can I buy prints of your artwork?
Update: Finally! My first print is available, you can view (and buy) it here [link]
If you have a request as to which drawings should be available as prints, feel free to tell me.
Frequently asked question #14: Is it possible to buy original drawings of yours?
Yes, you can do that. Just send me a note to let me know which one you are interested in, then we'll figure out everything else.
Frequently asked question #15: Is there a book available with a collection of all your pictures?
Sadly there's still no book available. I'm still trying to figure out the best way publish it though. But I'm afraid it's going to take a while. The first two attempts failed -.-
Frequently asked question #16: Are you doing this FAQ thing because you're a mean, snobbish, high-maintenance bitch who doesn't like to talk to other people?
Hell no, I'm just trying to save us some time
Frequently posted comment: Thank you for making my day.
